Palestinian Bedouin Shawls

Palestinian Bedouin Shawls

This traditional Bedouin shawl, known as a Ghudfeh, is crafted from fine white cotton fabric with delicate floral patterns. Historically, it was exclusively worn by married Bedouin women, symbolizing their union and status within the community.

Each shawl features exquisite hand-stitched Tatreez embroidery, depicting floral motifs that embody nature and heritage. Dating back to the 1940s–1950s, these rare pieces offer a direct connection to Palestine’s rich cultural history and its artisans.

Every stitch weaves a story and a legacy passed down through generations. With only one of each available, these shawls are truly unique and limited edition.

Embrace the opportunity to own and wear a piece of authentic Palestinian heritage.

Some photos of a Bedouin Shawl I bought from Mazin Al-Qaissi's shop.

It's a beautiful semi-transparent cotton with hand-embroidered flower patterns.
